Dena, I have information regarding the Jessop/Jessup family of Twiggs County GA. They came to Twiggs County by 1813 when James & Dorcas (Simms) Jessop are listed joining Stone Creek Bapt Church. Joining the church on the same day were Thomas Tims (Thames is correct spelling) and his wife Nancy. Nancy's maiden name is Tolar. She and Thomas Thames were married in Bladen County, NC in 1805. I have reason to believe that James & Dorcas Jessop traveled to the Twiggs County area with Thomas & Nancy Tolar Thames.

I would love to share information with you. Please contact me at cacbjeb2@att.net if you are interested.
