Elizabeth Sanders, dau of John and Elizabeth Sanders, was born March 17, 1814. In the footnotes concerning this Bible, Bess Vaughn Clark indicates the following: I believe Nancy Sanders married John Rasberry. They moved to south Georgia, Stewart County, I think. They had a son, Sanders Rasberry, and a granddaughter, Penny (Penelope) Rasberry. My father remembered that his home was the scene of the wedding of a Penny Rasberry. This occurred around 1890. Elizabeth Sanders, dau of John and Elizabeth Sanders, was the sister of Sarah Sanders, the first wife of William Thomas Vaughn. Elizabeth first married Captain William Herring of Twiggs County. She became the second wife of W.T. Vaughn. The Sanders came to Twiggs from Wayne County, NC. 1833 Tax Digest Jesse Wade, Herrings District, 405 Acres, Twiggs Elizabeth Sanders, Herrings District, 5 slaves, 350/454 Acres, Twiggs and Lee Counties Hope some of this helps.
