I just found your message. For some reason, I was never notified of your response. My apologies for an incredibly late response!

Was your gg grandfather Josa, born 1829, died 1854 in Eastland, Texas?

If so, I believe Josa is of my lineage too. I know several Motley relatives left Troup county, Georgia an migrated to Texas. Some stopped in Wise County, Texas (my line), others went on to Eastland, and then another branched off north into Oklahoma.

I have pictures of John and Jane's gravestones. I also have an old newspaper showing the Motley hotel in Hollis, Oklahoma, which was supposedly very nice in its day.

If you are interested in seeing a connection, let me know.

Thanks!
