When I ran across this I was hoping I'd find something about the esate of Thomas Maynard (Minyard/Miniard most common variations) who died in 1837, owning property in Troup.

I understand that court records in Troup show Simeon Smith as a guardian? for the orphaned children of Thomas, and that that is where he had to provide an accounting to the court in regard to the children.

As he died young, and perhaps didn't have a will, would the estate likely not show up in your list if no agreement was reached for admin. of the estate in Troup?

If you have access to other records in Troup and the time ever comes when you have an extra moment, any info you can find in regard to this would be appreciated.

Thanks, Jimmie West
