Troup County Davidson Reunion -- Article from 1915

I was sent the following article from the Atlanta Constitution Newspaper, August 1915. I am thrilled beyond words to have more names for my research. It is about my Davidson ancestors from Georgia.

My grandfather was David Elmo Davidson who is mentioned in the last sentence. If anyone sees a connection to this family, please contact me. I will copy it word for word.

Reunion of Davidson Family -(August 1915)

A reunion of the well-known Davidson family of Troup county will be held today at Gabbettsville, at the old home place of David Davidson, who was a prominent pioneer citizen of this county. The home has been in the Davidson family for several generations and now residing there are Miss Maggie Davidson and Mrs. Fannie Bradfield, granddaughters of David Davidson.

Among the members of the family who will be present are Mrs. Mattie Davidson Juhan and her two daughters, Mrs. A.V. Davis and Mrs. Dempsey Mayo and children, all of Florida; Mrs. May Davidson Mims, and daughter, Mrs. Lois Mims Carlton, of Atlanta. All the living representatives of this family are expected to attend with the exception of Captain Emmett Davidson of Cincinnati, and Mr. Elmo Davidson, of Leesburg, Fla., who were unavoidably detained.
