Milton & Henry Brown of NC & GA - DNA Testing
Posted by: Bob Brown (ID *****1575) Date: October 16, 2008 at 06:23:26

Are you a descendant of Milton or Henry Brown who were born in the Buncombe/Haywood County area of North Carolina in abt 1795-1800?

Milton Brown was married in 1820-21 to Kiziah Hooper, daughter of Absalom Hooper and Sarah Salers. Henry Brown married in 1826 Mary Hooper, sister of Kiziah.

There is a good possibility that my GG grandfather, David Brown, born abt 1795 in the same area of North Carolina, was a brother of Milton and Henry.

In the 1840s, Milton, Henry, and David were residents of Union and Towns Counties of Georgia.

My cousin, Donald Brown, has had his Y-DNA tested and we are now looking for a known male descendant of either Milton or Henry Brown with whom to compare DNA results.

If you would like to participate, please see www.brownsociety.org/browndna/contacts.htm This is connected to the Family Tree DNA project.

Thank you, Bob Brown
