FIRST GENERATION

1. James LOYD was born on 6 April 1798 in Buncombe County, North Carolina. He died on 27 August 1872 in Towns County, Georgia. He was buried in Shooting Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Clay County, NC.

He was married to Anna TROUT (daughter of Michael TROUT and Rachel LORANCE) on 28 October 1827 in Burke County, North Carolina. Anna TROUT was born in 1802 in Burke County, North Carolina. She died about 1860. James LOYD and Anna TROUT had the following children:

       2       i.       Martha LOYD was born in 1835 in Georgia.
       +3       ii.       Narcissa LOYD (born in 1837).
       4       iii.       Jane LOYD was born in 1839 in Georgia.
       +5       iv.       Sarah Ann "Sallie" LOYD (born in 1836).
       +6       v.       Althea C. LOYD (born on 19 October 1844).
       7       vi.       Athaline LOYD was born in 1843 in Georgia.
       8       vii.       John LOYD was born in 1844 in Georgia.
       9       viii.       Rachel LOYD was born in 1846 in Georgia.
       10       ix.       William LOYD was born in 1848 in Georgia.

Susan was born in 1831 in White County, Georgia. She died in February 1884. She was buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Hiawassee River, Towns County, Georgia. James LOYD and Susan had the following children:

       +11       i.       Josephine (Mince) LOYD (born in 1854).
       +12       ii.       Mary Marcella LOYD (born in 1856).
       +13       iii.       Rev. Franklin LOYD (born on 6 June 1857).
       +14       iv.       Devereaux LOYD (born in 1861).
        +15       v.       Naomia "Oma" LOYD (born in 1863).



SECOND GENERATION

3. Narcissa LOYD was born in 1837 in Georgia. She was baptized in September 1878 in Old Union Baptist Church. She died in 1901. She was buried in Old Union Cemetery, Young Harris, Georgia.

She was married to Reuben Mitchell COKER (son of Charlton COKER and Matilda) on 11 November 1858 in Habersham County, Georgia. Reuben Mitchell COKER was born in 1836 in Georgia. He was baptized in September 1878 in Old Union Baptist Church. He died in 1900. He was buried in Old Union Cemetery, Young Harris, Georgia. Narcissa LOYD and Reuben Mitchell COKER had the following children:

       +16       i.       Henry McDuffie COKER (born in 1869).
       +17       ii.       Mary Lou COKER (born in 1877).

5. Sarah Ann "Sallie" LOYD was born in 1836 in Georgia. She died on 31 May 1906 in Towns County, Georgia. She was buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Hiawassee River, Towns County, Georgia.

She was married to William PARRIS. William PARRIS died after 31 August 1864. Sarah Ann "Sallie" LOYD and William PARRIS had the following children:

       +18       i.       James A. PARRIS (born on 27 January 1862).
       +19       ii.       Harriett PARIS (born in 1863).

She was married to Charles B. ALSTON (son of Henry ALSTON and LONG) on 27 October 1872 in Towns County, Georgia. Charles B. ALSTON was born on 28 September 1820 in North Carolina. He died on 7 January 1899 in Towns County, Georgia. He was buried in Alston Cemetery, Hiawassee River, Towns County, Georgia. Sarah Ann "Sallie" LOYD and Charles B. ALSTON had the following children:

6. Althea C. LOYD was born on 19 October 1844 in Georgia. She died on 5 June 1930 in White County, Georgia. She was buried in Union Cemetery, White County, Georgia.

She was married to Marcus Lafayette VANDIVER on 19 October 1865. Marcus Lafayette VANDIVER was born on 2 November 1844 in Habersham (White) County, Georgia. He died on 3 February 1935 in White County, Georgia. He was buried in Union Cemetery, White County, Georgia. Althea C. LOYD and Marcus Lafayette VANDIVER had the following children:

       +22       ii.       Azzie VANDIVER (born on 21 July 1881).

11. Josephine (Mince) LOYD was born in 1854 in Georgia.

She was married to John C. DILLINGHAM (son of William Henry DILLINGHAM and Susan Adaline CONLEY) on 15 November 1868 in Towns County, Georgia. John C. DILLINGHAM was born on 16 April 1843 in Georgia. He died on 8 March 1925. He was buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Hiawassee River, Towns County, Georgia. Josephine (Mince) LOYD and John C. DILLINGHAM had the following children:

       +24       i.       Lillie DILLINGHAM (born on 26 April 1872).
       +25       ii.       Emma DILLINGHAM (born on 14 May 1882).
       +26       iii.       Florence DILLINGHAM (born on 13 April 1884).

12. Mary Marcella LOYD was born in 1856 in Towns County, Georgia. She died in 1901 in Towns County, Georgia. She was buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Hiawassee River, Towns County, Georgia.

She was married to Martin Van Buren ROGERS (son of Johnson C. ROGERS and Nancy Agnes JOHNSON) on 9 April 1882 in Towns County, Georgia. Martin Van Buren ROGERS was born in 1846 in Georgia. He died in 1931 in Towns County, Georgia. He was buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Hiawassee River, Towns County, Georgia. Mary Marcella LOYD and Martin Van Buren ROGERS had the following children:

       27       i.       Ernest ROGERS.

He was married to Azalia Poe "Zadie" MAULDIN (daughter of Alexander McClain MAULDIN and Mary Caroline ENGLAND) on 8 April 1884 in Towns County, Georgia. Azalia Poe "Zadie" MAULDIN was born on 17 April 1859 in Towns County, Georgia. She died on 16 March 1950 in Towns County, Georgia. She was buried in Osborn Cemetery, Hiawassee, Georgia. Rev. Franklin LOYD and Azalia Poe "Zadie" MAULDIN had the following children:

       34       i.       Ruby LOYD.
       +35       ii.       Ross LOYD (born in 1886).
       36       iii.       Bessie LOYD.

14. Devereaux LOYD was born in 1861 in Towns County, Georgia.

He was married to Frankey Jane WATKINS on 11 May 1884 in Towns County, Georgia. Frankey Jane WATKINS was born in 1868 in Georgia. Devereaux LOYD and Frankey Jane WATKINS had the following children:

She was married to Joel C. "Lud" SANDERS (son of Dock Morton SANDERS and Margaret) on 9 September 1883 in Towns County, Georgia. Joel C. "Lud" SANDERS was born in 1855 in Georgia. Naomia "Oma" LOYD and Joel C. "Lud" SANDERS had the following children:

       +43       i.       Ethel SANDERS (born on 9 July 1884).
       +44       ii.       Essie SANDERS (born on 13 September 1887).
       45       iii.       Mamie SANDERS was born on 11 August 1890 in Towns County, Georgia. She died on 29 January 1894 in Towns County, Georgia. She was buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Hiawassee River, Towns County, Georgia.
