FIRST GENERATION

1. George M. DENTON was born on 30 May 1813 in North Carolina. He died in 1881 in Towns County, Georgia. He was buried in Upper Hightower Baptist Church Cemetery, Towns County, Georgia.

He was married to Catherine Mary WOOD (daughter of William WOOD and Nancy OSBORN). Catherine Mary WOOD was born on 22 November 1819 in North Carolina. She died after 1860 in White County, Georgia. George M. DENTON and Catherine Mary WOOD had the following children:

       3       ii.       Elizabeth J. DENTON was born on 20 September 1837.
       4       iii.       William J. DENTON was born on 12 July 1839.
       +5       iv.       Elisha H. DENTON (born on 30 September 1841).
       6       v.       Nancy DENTON was born on 19 July 1843.
       7       vi.       Samuel Madison DENTON was born on 28 December 1845.
       8       vii.       Jeremiah J. DENTON was born on 2 June 1847.
       9       viii.       John M. DENTON was born on 1 January 1851.
       10       ix.       Martha Ann DENTON was born on 20 November 1853.
       11       x.       Lucinda A. DENTON was born on 22 February 1856.
       12       xi.       Margaret M. DENTON was born on 2 September 1856.
       +13       xii.       Mary C. DENTON (born on 22 January 1860).



SECOND GENERATION

5. Elisha H. DENTON was born on 30 September 1841. He died on 28 April 1922. He was buried in Lower Hightower Baptist Church Cemetery, Towns County, Georgia.

He was married to Cynthia Adaline BERRONG (daughter of Andrew Jackson BERRONG and L. OSBORN) on 18 January 1865 in Towns County, Georgia. Cynthia Adaline BERRONG was born on 20 February 1847. She died on 27 November 1913. She was buried in Lower Hightower Baptist Church Cemetery, Towns County, Georgia. Elisha H. DENTON and Cynthia Adaline BERRONG had the following children:

       +14       i.       Lillie A. DENTON (born on 13 April 1867).
       +15       ii.       Robert McMillan DENTON (born on 4 April 1868).
       +16       iii.       Louisa Caroline DENTON (born on 1 April 1870).
       +17       iv.       James L. DENTON (born on 11 December 1872).
       18       v.       Ollie Mae DENTON was born on 2 May 1874 in Towns County, Georgia. She died on 18 June 1892 in Towns County, Georgia. She was buried in Lower Hightower Baptist Church Cemetery, Towns County, Georgia.
       +19       vi.       Phairella A. DENTON (born on 22 February 1876).
       +20       vii.       Erastus M. DENTON (born on 16 October 1878).
       +21       viii.       Damascus Elisha DENTON (born on 19 March 1881).
       +22       ix.       Esco Calaway DENTON (born on 8 May 1884).
       +23       x.       Doll DENTON (born on 18 September 1886).

13. Mary C. DENTON was born on 22 January 1860 in Towns County, Georgia. She died in 1916 in Hall County, Georgia. She was buried in Gillsville Baptist Church Cemetery, Hall County, GA.

She was married to Stephen Miligan ADAMS (son of John ADAMS and Martha BOWEN) on 29 April 1880. Stephen Miligan ADAMS was born in 1860 in White County, Georgia. He died in 1932 in Hall County, Georgia. He was buried in Gillsville Baptist Church Cemetery, Hall County, GA. Mary C. DENTON and Stephen Miligan ADAMS had the following children:
