Lavincy Smith wife of Shadrack Stanley
This may not be of any interest to your genealogy or it may hold the key for both of us. My Great Great Grandmother was born in Wilkinson Co.Ga.I have records, she was a member of Hardens Chapel Methodist Church in the Johnson Corner Community in 1845 as Francis M Reese in 1850 Hardens Chapel records show her as Frances M Ganey in 1855 Shadrick and Lavincy Stanley were both members along with Frances and Wm. Ganey Francis married later John Obryan.
Family lore has it she lived with a Stanley family and with the Ganey husband, she named her middle child Elizabeth Lavincy. Could this be a family conection? Some researchers say she was the dau. of John and Priscilla Griggs Johnson. Others suggest she was fullblooded Indian please let me know if,you have heard of any connections.
