I am seeking info on the parents of Zilpha Inman. She was born 17 Feb 1787, probably in Burke County, Georgia and died 17 Jun 1837 in Thomas County, Georgia. Zilpha was married 25 Jun 1805 to Kindred Braswell, Jr. who was born in Burke County, Georgia about 1781 and who died in Thomas County, Georgia about 1864. By the time of his death he was very large landowner and slave holder. Kindred Jr. shows up on the 1806 tax list in Montgomery County, Georgia. He and his family appear in the 1830 census in Laurens County, Georgia and by 1840 (after Zilpha's death and burial) he is listed in Thomas County, Georgia. Zilpha was buried in a very large above-ground tomb that I recently visited and photographed and I have the red bug bites to prove it. I hope that my 5th great grandmother appreciates my efforts! Considering that Kindred Jr. was born in the Burke County, Georgia, I suspect that Zilpha was connected to the known Inman families who lived in that area in the late 1700s - early 1800s but do not know which one. Any information will be greatly appreciated!
