On p 258 of W W Rogers'book "Thomas County 1865-1900, there is a single sentence that says, "In 1874, a crack shot T P Perry killed an 18-pound turkey west of the Ochlocknee River." There is also a reference to Professor Perry, but that is all I see. I know there are other histroy books covering Thomas County. Hope this helps. Fred
