D. M Dismuke, better known to most as Mr. Drew, was the owner of the "Big Store" and it was managed by Robert Jolley. Mr. Drew had farms around Graves and I suppose the store began as a commisary for the farm hands. I was born in the main house on one of his properties. My father was overseer for Mr. Drew for some 15 years. I believe the Dismuke family came to Terrell County from Stewart County. Mr. Drew married "Miss Am", Amarette Burge, in Terrell County. They never had children. Miss. Am's sister, Miss Doug, lived with them in the big house west of the old school site now occupied by the Lark family.
