Looking for anyone that may be researching or have information on a Richard H. Thompson born abt. 1834 in NC. Richard is believed to have married a Harriet Carmichael in 1879 (second wife) in Telfair Co. and appears in the 1880 Telfair Co., census. Death date and location is unknown, but assumed to have occurred before 1900. Trying to find positive verification that this Richard Thompson is in fact a missing Thompson branch from NC that I am researching. The Richard Thompson that I am researching last appears in the 1870 Bladen Co. NC census, but can not be found in any later census in NC. However, based on estate papers, I can document that he was still alive in 1885 and strong cirumstantial evidence points to the Richard Thompson in the 1880 Telfair Co. census. I would love to compare notes with anyone having any information on this Richard Thompson.
