I am looking for information on James Joyce (1730-1817), who moved to Tattnall County when it was first created in 1801. I am descended from him through his daughter Jemina, who married Dempsey Wood. I am told that James was a soldier in the American Revolution. My information also states that he was buried at Whitebluff, which I believe is near the mouth of the Ohoopee River, but I do not know where the actual gravesite is or if it is even marked. I would appreciate any information that anyone can share on this family.
