Thanks for the offer of the lines. I am just doing the brothers and sisters of Josephine. I am doing a family history for my husbands family for their Christmas gift. Most of what I found on Simon Peter Smith is in an oline article published in the Brewton Standard. I may have googled Simon Peter Smith. To be honest, it has been a while and I cannot remember where I got it. Simon Peter's wife was Clarissa Brewton...daughter of Nathan Brewton. There were at least two Clarissa Brewtons ...one being Nathan Brewton's sister. One thing I have found in Southern families is that they liked to use the same names.That can make for a lot of confusion. The Smith, Brewton and Fontain family had many connections thru marriage.
