I don't have a lot of information on the Smiths, but I'd like to get deeper into their family line. I didn't know until several years ago that Mary Ann Smith was from Tattnall County, or that Dr. W.T. Morgan had ever remarried after her death, so there's still a lot for me to learn. I'd very much like to see anything on the Smiths. If you'd like Mary Ann's descendents through her sons Herschel and Melville, I'll be glad to get that to you, particularly Herschel. The other family that W.T. Morgan had with Clarissa Brewton after Mary Ann died is pretty extensive, so I'm sure there are a lot of Morgan connections in Tattnall through their line, also. I'm sorry that I don't know about Simon Peter Smith's death or where he's buried, but hope someone can answer that question. I have other relatives who died in the Civil War who were buried at the cemeteries in prison camps. Not all were disinterred and returned home after the war ended. That could be a possibility with Simon. Please keep me up on what you find, and the offer stands on information on Mary Ann's family. I will post it here so that anyone else with an interest can access it.
