I have studied the Sikes/Sykes families of the Tattnall County area extensively. I don't know who the Sarah Sykes was who married Lewis Tyre.

According to the various federal census Sarah Sykes was born between 1793 and 1800. It's a good bet that she was born closer to 1800. She married Lewis Tyre in 1818.

Her birthdate excludes her from being a sister of Josiah Sykes, Dyre Clifton Sykes or Arthur Sykes. These men were all brothers and sons of Lt. Daniel Sykes.

I have sometimes wondered if she was a daughter of Dyre Clifton Sykes. But I have no proof. Sorry I'm unable to help you on this point.
