Thanks Joe for the help even though you are not related to this line. You seem very knowledgeable and boy do I appreciate your willingness to share your knowledge.

Perhaps there is a Big Creek in Appling. Lewis' last property was there. Major probably rests in Tattnall and son, Lewis in Appling.

By the way, I did notice on a list of Tattnall Surnames that you are associated with Sikes. My Lewis Tyre b. 1795 was married to Sarah Sykes and his brother, Jackson, I think also married a Mary Sykes. Any clues on thes Sykes women?

Would also like to ask if you have any good source for paid claims of the Yazoo Land Fraud?
