Mary [Griffith] married Mr __ Ellington abt 1875 probably in Taliafero Co but possibly a neighboring county...
George Washington Ellington son of Mary [Griffith] and unk Ellington had 1st cousins: Jesse Ellington and William Josiah Ellington.
George Washington Ellington (born 20 Jul 1877 Ga)and his 1st cousin William Josiah Ellington married sisters Molly and Sally Cowart, respectively and all 4 lived in Emanuel Co Ga. George Washington Ellington's sister, Bertha (born 26 Aug 1878 Ga) , married Mr Lott Cowart (relationship to Molly and Sally unknown)
The given name of "Josiah" suggests there could be a link to the Ellington's who were early settlers of Taliafero Co...? This is our Griffith/Ellington "brick wall" --- any help identifying any of the above named ELLINGTON'S will be deeply appreciated!!!
