I descend from Henry's 1st wife, May Manes, and their dau, Mary Jane Hay who married John G. Smith in Coosa county, AL. Haven't seen a cemetery book yet but I went Sat to big Lib in Bham to work on this line and they didn't have it. I was able to get a few things. I would love to swap info as we find it. I'd like to find more books on this county too and will go to the Al archives Tues. Henry's folks may have come from Oglethorpe Co GA where I think William and his son Gilbert Hay came from according to marriage and will records, They seem to be in this same area. It looks like Mary may have gotten sick after they moved to Al and he prob went back to GA to be near they're families where she poss died and he then remarried and moved back to Coosa County, AL. My father was born there too. His mother was Leatha Emma Smith daughter of Samuel Henry Smith, son of Mary Jane and John Smith. Thanks for this tips on the Manes and Robertson lines. I thought maybe this might be Nancy's 2nd mg and was looking into that. I couldn't find anything on the Manes. They must have left GA.
