I am trying to find death date and burial site of Edward G. Harvey, my 3rd great-grandfather. I recently found this advertisement:
Columbus Ledger-Enquirer, Nov. 22, 1856
Receiver's Sale. Will be sold before the Courthouse door, in the town of Talbotton, Talbot county, Ga., on the first Tuesday in December next, within the legal hours of sale, agreeably to an order of the Court of ordinary of said county the following Negroes belonging to the Estate of Edward G. Harvey, late of said county, deceased, viz: Susan, a negro woman about 21 years of age; Mary, a woman about 19 years old and her child twelve months old; Anna a girl about 12 years old.
Terms made known on the day of sale.
