Birth Records--E.M. ("Matt"/ Matthew) Lang/kford

My great-grandfather was E.M. Lankford (6/12/1860-9/5/1899), known as Matt and sometimes as Matthew. In the 1880 Morgan Co., AL census he was listed as Ezrey M. Langford. He was probably born a Langford, and he may have been born in Barbour County, as his family did live there sometimes during the 1850's - 1870's.

Can anyone locate birth records to confirm or not confirm this birth in Talbot Co., GA? I'm trying to document with certainty who his parents were. I believe they were Robert A. Langford and Mary Ann E. Roberson Langford, who later married Nathaniel Burton. Robert's and Mary's son Terrel (listed in the 1860 Muscogee Co., GA census as Tennell) was born in Columbus, GA in 1857. Basically, I have indirect family and census evidence that Terrel and Matt were brothers. Some family members also lived in Harris Co. and Talbot Co.

I would appreciate any help.
