I'm looking for information on Dempsey Charles Griffin, b about 1802 near Ashville, NC and moved to Sumter County about 1840. Married 1st to Mary McCorquodale, 2d to Martha Eubanks. Children of Dempsey and Mary include Bryant, Dempsey, Mary, Caleb, Thomas, Edna, Catherine and John Lewis. John Lewis is my GGGrandfather. Dempsey died 10/1/1884. I have no information prior to his coming to Georgia.
