Kendrick Jones and his son, Alonzo, enlisted in Co. C, (from Sumter county) 10th Ga. Infantry Battalion March 4, 1862. Kendrick died of fever at Griffin, Ga. April 8, 1862, and was buried unmarked at Macon, Ga., in Soldiers Square at Rose Hill Cemetery Lot 8, ID# 9.
