I am looking for information regarding Benjamin Smith who is listed on the 1840 census of Rev. War vets in Stewart County, GA. Benjamin Smith was born abt 1752. He married Lydia BANNISTER. He resided in Stewart County Georgia in 1840; listed on the census as 88 year old Revolutionary War soldier. Will dated 1840 and probated in 1843 lists his wife as Lydia; 2 sons - Benjamin, Jr. and Edward; niece - Sarah Smith ; and step son James BANISTER. I am particularly interested i Benjamin's wife Lydia and his step son James BANISTER. Can anyone help me?

If anyone is researching this family, please contact me. Vivian Hull <vhull@aol.com>
