I am looking for info or descendents of the following people:Thomas J. and Ann McCracken Ellis. They are listed in the 1860 Stewart Co., Ga. census (Lumpkin district) with the following children: Georgia A., Mary, Louisa, Ann (Selena in later records), Jordan O. (he may have died since he doesn't appear in later records), and George. I believe Thomas died before the 1870 census, but wife, Ann is listed in Stewart Co. with children Louisa, Salena, and George. Louisa (Louise) is my ggrandmother, and married Hiram L. Johnston abt. 1872. Mary married an Ivey, and had three children, Alice?, Alonzo, and Lilla. The "History of Stewart Co., Ga., Vol.II" has a Mary Ellis marrying a Joseph B. Ivey, Sept 8, 1869. The book also mentions the marriage of a Georgia A. E. Ellis to an Andrew J. Boyette, June 4, 1865. I believe that these woman may have been the ones listed above, but this has not been proven. I am also interested in a Mollie Ivey, whose death is listed in the same book, in the John Franklin Mayo Bible section. I don't know if there is any relationship to me or to the Iveys that I mentioned.
I am also looking for info on a Seaborn and Vinnie Carlisle listed in the 1870 Stewart Co., Ga., (Florence district). Children listed with them are Manda, Francis, and James. Their is also a Thompson Pope, age 12 listed with them. He is listed as Mulatto, and a blacksmith. Seaborn is also listed as a blacksmith. Older children not listed in this census include Louise (my ggrandmother), Mary, and Martha.
I am a descendent of the family of Daniel Richardson profiled in the "History of Stewart Co., Ga., Vol.I", and would be greatly interested in hearing from anyone related to this family.
Any info or interest would be greatly appreciated.
I may be contacted through the message board or at email@example.com.
