I am trying to determine if this Daniel Richardson is the "Old Uncle Daniel Richardson" referred to by one of my husband's greats (uncle) Reuben Allen Pierson in the book "Brothers in Gray" which is a collection of Civil War letters written by Reuben and his brothers. Reuben went on leave to Stewart Co. Georgia in one of the letters and this is an actual quote from it below Reuben states that Daniel wife is related to his father a "cousin". We have not been able to find a relationship with Daniel's wife to Reuben's father who is William Henry Pierson the son of John P. Pierson and Temperance Canfield/Crankfield Simpson. Two other names in the family in the area were Perdue and Collins who are related through Reuben's mother's line Mary Collins.
If you know of a relationship or have come across any of these names in your search would love to hear from you.
"I went out and paid a visit to old Uncle Daniel Richardson who still lives where he did when you left Stewart. His wife who I learned was your own cousin is still living and they were both very kind to me and asked me many questions. They both requested that I should present their warmest regards to you whenever I wrote to you. All of their children are grown and married or in the army except one son who had been discharged for disability. I promised to write to him and shall hear from there occasionally. "
