Hi was just over some info on the Lynch / Grimes line, I was looking for the census of 1850, finally found it :-) There has been info put out on the Lynch /Grimes that seems to be in error , it mentions that the father of who they call John Jr, was John Sr, no his father was not John, this part had some of the Researches of this line of Grimes confused, The book A History of Stewart Co. (Ga.) Refers to John Sr. & John Jr. does not mean they were Father & son, more likely trying to seperate a younger John Grimes from the older one, it took a trip to the Ga. Archives and finding the loose papers to strighten this out :-).
On this page you will see it has John Sr as father of John Jr. the Father of who they call John Jr, was William Grimes he died in 1837, same year as his brother John.
In one of the court paper the wife is MARY, than in the 1850 census she is Nancy.
