Wolf Pit Franklin/Stephens County -- Anderson Family
Posted by: anderson (ID *****5694) Date: June 04, 2012 at 18:00:10

Looking to grow my tree beyond my great-great grandfather, Wash Anderson.

He was born around 1873, lived in a place called "Wolf Pit" during the 1900 census...Which is now in Stephens county but was part of Franklin county. He married a woman named Missouri (unknown last name). Their son was Homer Anderson who moved to Anderson Co, South Carolina.

His tombstone is located in the Stowe family cemetery. I also noticed that his neighbors on the 1900 census include a Lewis Anderson who married an Amanda Stowe...Perhaps this is Wash's brother or close relative? (there was an obvious connection between my Anderson family and the Stowe family)

Any knowledge of wolf pit's history or Anderson researchers out there, please help me!!! Thanks!
