My grandfather was born about 1879, he helped lay the brick for the Kincaid Mill, or helped may not have been the brick, I do know that the Kincade Mill and Village was hit by a storm it damaged the mill and then on parts of the village, hit one house and jumped the next one... This must have been in the 40's...I do remember someone saying that every one of them had been hit at one time...no one mentioned the loss of life, I do remember when the Kincaid was hit by the storm mentioned above, it did kill one lady, threw a bobbin of thread that was stuck in her body,and she did die.
