Hello! Thanks so much for your reply. I have not been researching this line for a while, but I do still need some information for it. Mary Parker, the mother of Carl Burke, was the sister of Crawford Parker, my great-great-grandfather. There were nine Parker siblings to reach maturity and most of them are buried in Millen Cemetery. I can send you more information on the Parkers if you are interested; just email me. Mary Parker is buried in the Simeon Burke Cemetery, but I have yet to locate this cemetery and view her tombstone. Here's what I have for her: MARY PARKER (JAMES JR., JAMES) was born October 25, 1847 in Screven Co., Ga., and died November 18, 190[0/5].* She married DAVID SIMEON BURKE on February 4, 1869. Children of MARY PARKER and DAVID SIMEON BURKE (Dec. 18, 1840-May 8, 1896)* are: 1) CLARA BURKE (b. Jan. 1870) 2) ORREN BURKE (Jul. 1, 1871-Feb. 23, 1957) – bur. Rocky Ford Baptist Church Cem., Screven Co. m. (Jan. 5, 1896) Susan Junette Parker – issue 3) LILLA BURKE (ca. 1876-Nov. 29, 1959) – bur. Sylvania City Cem. m. (Dec. 12, 1895) Alonza A. Waters – issue 4) CARL BURKE (May 13, 1879-Oct. 27, 1943) – bur. Oak Grove Methodist Church Cem., Screven Co. m. (Dec. 26, 1899) Ella Cail – issue * = dates not yet verified Right now the information I most want includes any information on Clara Burke (birth and dates dates, place of burial, etc.) and the birthdate of Lilla Burke (I have yet to drive to the Sylvania City Cemetery to try to find her tombstone). I'm also interested to know if any of Mary Parker Burke's children had middle names. Thanks so much for your response and I hope to hear from you again soon. Notify Administrator about this message?
