I have conducted research on the Usher Family in Effingham, Screven and McIntosh Counties in Georgia from the 1790's until the 1900's. I have particular information on the family of Abel Usher. I am interested in information that persons may have relative to that line. I have found information on earlier posts to this forum concerning this line that is not correct. All of my research was conducted using public, cemetery and military records. If anyone has credible information backed by sound research on this line, please let me know. I will be glad to share my findings with anyone who is interested. I am particularly interested in solid information that identifies the father of Abel Usher of Screven County, GA, 1790's to 1860's. A post on the Usher Forum identifies a person as his father but gives no records stating where or how this connection was made. Other information posted by the same member relative the descendants of Abel Usher is also incorrect. Again, I say this because I my research is based on actual records. Thanks to all and I look forward to corresponding with you!
