I can't give you the name of Ann's parents but I can give you some clues to follow:
In 1767, Charles Hudson had a wife & 3 children and asked for land on Barton's Branch next to Robert Hudson and Richard Scruggs. Colonial Records of GA. Vol. X, p. 314.
1768, Samuel Hudson had 700 acres, asked for land one mile above Barton's Branch in St. Matthews Parish next to Charles Hudson and Richard Scruggs. Ibid, Vol. X, p. 499.
There was also one that was probably a Hudson but was spelled wrong:
1766, land adj. James Huston and Richard Scruggs. ibid. vol. IX, p. 622.
These were all in the area of St. Matthews, Effingham County, GA, that later became Screven County, GA.
This will at least give you some names to work with. My connection is with Mary Scruggs Herrington, sister of Richard Scruggs, Jr. Good luck.
