Thanks for the reply. My ancestors and their neighbors lived in the very NW corner of Effingham, near Egypt today, probably in an area called Turkey Creek. I figured they buried people close by, and maybe some Screven Co cemeteries were closest.

The names would be Furney Willis, Pencey Dykes Willis, Jesse Dykes, and any Blitches and/or Tysons. It would surely be a big clue if you saw their names somewhere!
