Am researching the S.R. Sims listed in the 1860 census, White House District of Henry Co, GA. He was listed as age 30 (c.1830) with wife Mary N (Nancy Helms) and children Caroline M, William F, Augusta A, Clarissa E. They were living next door to the William Helms household which may have been Mary's father. S.R. died about 1865 in Conyers. Nancy remarried Elbert Beavers and was listed in the 1870 Brushy Knob Twp, Henry Co, GA census. Children listed were: William, Augusta, Emma, Elizabth, James and William (age 1) who would have been the son of Elbert Beavers. If you have any knowledge or this family, ancestors or descendants, please contact me. Augusta Ann Sims Stanley was my g.grandmother. Am trying to find parents of S.R. Sims and Nancy Helms.
