Hello GA: I am looking for information on my grandfather, WILLIAM HENRY KELLY, Jr., born 1896 in or near Augusta, Richmond County. Enlisted in WWI in 1916, married my grandmother, Eva Malissa Bauknight (Bauknite) of Saluda County, SC in October 1919. William had at least one brother, Charlie Charles), and a sister, Myrtis, who may have been one of the first African-American schoolteachers in Augusta. The family also had a grocery store in Augusta. TIA, Ms. Dale Colston.
