Lela,

Do you know what time period your ancestors
were at the "plantation on the Hill?"

If you come to Augusta for a visit, be sure
to check with the Lucy Craft Laney Museum of
Black History, 1116 Philips St. (706)
724-3576. They can also offer you more
info about resources and local African
American sites to visit.

For information on maps, directions, travel
info to Augusta, please check with the
Augusta Convention & Visitors Bureau at
(800)726-0243. They also have a heritage
brochure for Augusta of local African
American sites.

Hope this helps!

Lillian Wan
