Looking for any information on my ggggrandfather,Jesse Watkins. Married Elizabeth Ann Wilcox in Richmond County, Georgia March 12, 1843. Family has copy of original marriage certificate filed. Lists Jesse's birthplace as South Carolina. Was an overseer on a plantation outside Augusta. We believe he was born in the area around Aiken, SC. Any information appreciated.
