Seeking information on John Wilkes Goldman, born April 15, 1849, in Lincoln County, GA., the son of Richard Goldman and Matilda Trammell Reid. John married Marry Mini Nichols in Wilkes County, GA., August 31, 1875. Mary was born in Lincoln County, April 15, 1850, the daughter of Wiliam J. Nichols and Mary Crook. John died April 29, 1920, in Lincoln Co. Mary died September 29 in Lincoln Co.
They are buried at the Hephizabah Methodist Church Cemetery in Hephzibah, GA. I have heard that a Civil War Memorial was erected in honor of John in Lincoln County in 1997. The children of John and Mary are: Thomas Robert Goldman, Willie Groves Goldman, John Hogan Goldman, Mary Etta Goldman, Hattie Celeste Goldman, and Mattie Lou Goldman.
