From the Death and Obituary Notices from The Southern Christian
Advocate 1867-1878: "Mrs. Frances A. Dixon, whose maiden name was Ashley, a
member of St. James' Church, died in Augusta, GA on 12th of February 1875 in
the 75th year of her age. She was a native of Lincoln Co., GA, but for many
years had resided in this city. She was left a widow in 1844 with eleven
children. Her husband's name was Henry Dixon."

I am trying to find information on this Henry Dixon. Does anyone know where he was from?

Also request lookup in the published book, the 1850 Richmond Co, GA Census. Possibly the ages and place of birth of their children will give a clue on Henry's birtplace.

Any information on this family will be appreciated.
