From the 1860 census--at the age of four, John Riley was in the Augusta Orphans Asylum, possibly with a brother Daniel, age 6. I am seeking any information that might lead to the parents of John. His mother may have been a KIRKPATRICK, but I do not find her in the 1850 census prior to John's birth. Am interested in information about Kirkpatricks in Richmond Co. at that time
