Cherokee connection.
Joany, we to are trying to prove or disprove a Cherokee lineage connection;
namely,that of James Hicks, Johnson Co., GA1799-1888. His father was a
Nathaniel H.Hicks . In the 'family history' there is no mention of Cherokee
connection, but can't prove it wasn't a Nathaniel Hicks Jr., fur trader with
Cherokees. Any clues??? Would like to hear from you.
