I recently saw your posting about the Hett family. I have been researching the Thompson family of Augusta for a long time. One group of my Thomson line is buried on a plot in Magnolia cemetery with some Hetts. I have always wondered who they were. My g grandfather was married twice, first to a woman named Lucinda Johnson. He and she are buried in the above mentioned plot so I guess the connection is Johnson-Hett. I don't know the names of her parents but when she was married she lived with her brother and he was the head of the household. His name was Calvin Johnson and he was a blacksmith in Augusta. There were several brothers and sisters in the household also. The Hetts buried on the plot are Wm. Baxter Hett 7 yr old. buried 5-30-1874 Sue A. Hett infant buried 11-12-1873end of section The plot is listed as sec#e281-southside of 9th St 6th walk west of delaigle Ave I don't know if there was any connection or the Thompsons just bought a Hett section but I hope the information gives you a lead.
