John Brown s/o Samuel Brown, Sr. (Indian Trader, Augusta, GA.) and brother of Samuel Brown, Jr. ( Indian Trader).
John Brown was a partner with John Rae and Lachlan M'Gilivary (Merchants). John Brown had daughters: Mary, Katherine and Susanna and a wife unknown. Lachlan M'Gilivary ( McGillivary) went back to Scotland after the American Rev. The Browns were from Scotland or most likely England. James Oglethorpe gave Samuel Brown, Sr. 500 acres and house in Augusta, GA. in abt. 1734.
I am looking for info on Mary, Katherine and Susanna Brown.
I descend from Samuel & Mary (Mooney) Hickson Brown. Samuel was s/o Samuel Brown, Jr.
Samuel Brown & Mary (Mooney) Hickson married in Richmond Co., GA. of which part became Columbia Co., GA. In 1811 Samuel & Mary Brown left Washington Co., GA. and settled in what became Wayne Co., MS. By 1825 they settled in Simpson Co., MS. and were murdered there in 1837.
