Re: Death of Troupe Tabb in 1863

I know this is a reach, but desperation has set in over the years.

Troupe Tabb, my greatgrandfather, was foreman on a farm in Randolph County. He was kicked by a mule and killed in 1863 in Randolph County.

If there was a record of this accident, either in county offices or a local newspaper, I hope it will contain the name of his mother, my great-great grandmother. Many have searched for years trying to find her name. She was married to Thomas Hugo Tabb, Troupe's dad. I know Troupe's wife's name, where he is buried, etc. Just trying to find his Mother's name, who we believe died between 1840 and 1850, probably in Randolph County.
