Rubye thanks for the info. I Have identified the ones you have but the marriage of elizabeth with the date shows I and my coharts have an error on her husband. Have the same date and place of marriage but not to James McDonald.

I am sure your Thomas is the Thomas Hugo Tabb I inquired about. James E Tabb is one of his son as is S L (Samuel Langhorne). Elizabeth is his Daughter.

Your census date proves what I had believed but couldn't prove. That Thomas Hugo's wife died after 1840 but before 1850. In the 1850 Baker County, Ga Census Thomas H was living with another daughter, Julia Ann and her husband, a Sutton.

I still can't fine Thomas H's wife. Do you know if Randolph county recorded any type of marriage license in 1838 when Elizabeth got married. If so, there may be her Mother's name - a reach but several of us have been desparate on this for years. He is my great great grandfather and is buried in the Tabb Cemetery in Miller County, Ga from whence I came.

He also had a son, Troupe, who was also a foreman on a farm in Randolph County when he was killed when kicked by a mule in 1863. Do you know if they have any records of deaths such as this at that time? Troupe, my great granddad is buried in Early County, Ga. Recently changed his tombstone.

If you would email me at if you have any further info.

Thanks again.

John Tabb
