Thanks for the quick reply - our Brown connection is through my wife's family (her grandmother was Bonnie Brown Armour) - who was your mom?

Pollard Brown was lived from 1764-1858 - died in Abbeville, SC -- they had at least one other brother named William Penn Brown - their mother's maiden name was Pollard - possibility: my wife's first cousin (Edwina Simmons) married a direct descendant of RFB - Gary Brown (died 2003) - Gary had two brothers who both died young (Bruce & Keith), and I'm not sure if either of them had male children or if there were other sons of Ernest - it might be a lead - her dad was Clyde Simmons, distinguished lawman from Habersham County, GA who passed away last year -if you can't find a lead to Edwina, try contacting the Hillside Mortuary in Clarkesville, GA - they might still have her contact number on record - she'a around 50ish or so - Gary & Edwina didn't have a boy that I'm aware of, but she would know the family better than I do -- happy hunting!!

Ed

btw, don't know James Lord - sorry
