Seeking the parent's of M. R. & Lucy Brooks, they married abt. 1853/56 in Georgia. M. R. Brooks was listed in the 1860 Census of Floyd Co., Rome, Georgia. Along with Lucy, and their three oldest son's, Jesse Winifred, Miller D., and James M. Brooks. They moved to West Point, Miss. before 1870, and was included on the 1870 Census! They had several children by then, Jesse W., Miller D., Charlie Peter, Mary Elizabeth, Luda, Mason Kelly, John Wesley, and Joseph Randolph Brooks. I have dug, and search all over Georgia, but with out a clue about the family. Any BROOKS researcher's, who may connect to a M. R. Brooks 1835 - 1870, please contact me. I sure could use some advice on how to find more records about their Ancestor's...
