In my research for my great grandfather; Clem McCracken, I found on a Census of 1880 in Tiger, Rabun Georgia that Clem McCracken was listed as a nephew of and living in the household of (Elias Turpin was listed as head of household) Elias Turpin age 24 and Elizabeth McCracken age 29
Clem McCracken age 12
Lilla E. McCracken age 3
McCracken 1.

It seems my family had lived in Rabun County Georgia and Oconee SC. My grandfather was Bob Mason McCracken he lived in Neeces SC when he passed. I have only a name for my great grandfather but have found information for my great grandmother Bellzonia Shed McCracken. I cannot prove it yet that this is my great grandfather listed on the Census but will continue to search for someone who knows of him.
