Looking for any leads as to family (ancestors/descendants) of John Merrit "Murt" Chastain and Sarah M. "Amanda" Ramey. Married January 24, 1901 in Rabun County. John born circa 1852 in North Carolina, Amanda b. circa 1882 in Georgia. Enumerated in the 1910 and 1920 censuses in Persimmon. Any possible connections to Chastains or Rameys in the area? Murt is buried on the farm they lived on when he died in the 1920's, right before his daughter Mary Arizona Chastain was born. (My wife's grandmother) I'd like to find where his farm was. His gravesite marked only by a stone, at least until the 1970's. Thanks! Matthew
